Rules:

The only way to win games is to score so the Red Zone Battle puts an emphasize on getting the football into the endzone.  Each offense will face three (3) defenses for a play each from the 5, 10- & 15-yard line. See below for rotation.

Team 1¢??s Offense vs Team 2, 3, & 4¢??s Defenses

Team 2¢??s Offense vs Team 3, 4, 1¢??s Defenses

Team 3¢??s Offense vs Team 4, 1, 2¢??s Defenses

Team 4¢??s Offense vs Team 1, 2, 3¢??s Defenses

For each touchdown from the 5-yard line, the team is awarded one (1) point. The most a team can score from the 5-yard line per offensive series is three (3) points.

For each touchdown from the 10-yard line, the team scores two (2) points. The most a team can score from the 10-yard line is six (6) points.

For each down touchdown from the 15-yard line, the team scores three (3) points. The most a team can score from the 15-yard line per offensive series is nine (9) points.

First team to score 21 points per game will be declared winner.

If Team 1 is the first to maximum points (21), each subsequent offense will also get to finish out the round to score their highest.

If there are more than one team that score the maximum, just those offenses continue to play until one score more points than the others versus ALL the defenses. Ex:  Team 1 Offense scores 21 points, Team 2 scores 11 points, Team 3 scores 21 points and Team 4 scores 6 points.  Team 1 and Team 3Ã?¢??s offense keep playing versus ALL defenses until either Team 1 or Team 3 scores more points in a round.

This is a fast-paced game that focuses on precision, teamwork and execution. There is a 25 second play clock timing each play.  This starts immediately at the conclusion of the previous play.  If a team scores and decides to celebrate as an example, the clock is running on the next play.  If the 25 second clock goes off without a play being run, the offense is awarded zero (0) points, the clock restarts and the offense will face the next defense.  The defense coming onto the field will be allowed enough time to line up before the offense snaps the football but if the defense is not set at the 15 second mark of the play clock, the offense is allowed to snap the ball and run a play.

There is a minute transition time for offenses.  This means once an offense plays three plays, the next offense up will have one minute to get from sideline to football snapped.  Then the rules stated above apply.

Tournament Play:

Each team will play three (3) games to 21. The teams with the top four (4) TOTAL points scored will advance to the championship round.  The championship game will be played to 21 points or until a clear-cut champion wins with most points.

Registration will close on Wednesday Sept 2 and teams and schedules at each level will be released by Friday Sept 4 at the latest.

This game is very fan and family friendly.  Fans will be permitted to circle the playing area and give the players plenty of encouragement.  Any abusive or disruptive actions will be cause for removal from the property.  This is a game to be enjoyed and celebrated by the players.
